'T5 Tube Changers' Commercial Energy Surveys and Monitoring
In collaboration with Midland Surveyors, Econolight delivers the advice and the solutions you need to carry out more effective building inspections and energy use monitoring – helping you comply with legislation, reduce costs and improve your environmental profile.
The latest Carbon Reduction Commitment legislation is due to come into force in April 2010. This legislation outlines the need for around 20,000 large public and private sector organisations to report the amount of energy they consume.
Increasingly restrictive and complex legislation such as the Carbon
Reduction Commitment (CRC), DEC, EPC and Part L of the Building
Regulations, is making businesses more aware than ever, of the relative
energy spend of their buildings. The need for this extra information
is creating a demand for information and provision of reliable inspection and monitoring services.
Many organisations are also keen to promote green credentials and
demonstrate Corporate Social Responsibility, by presenting key energy
and carbon statistics to gain a competitive advantage.
Other businesses either have minimal information or are struggling to obtain data from their current monitoring solution. These may not have not been networked correctly, or are old systems that are overloaded with data, making keeping up with legislation and green objectives extremely difficult.
Businesses need a complete solution that firstly provides them with both an accurate property inspection report, and where appropriate a system that delivers information regularly. These can be Automatic Monitoring and Targeting (AM&T) packages and infrastructure, for all the energy types used, including electricity, gas, water, oil, heating and cooling; across many locations.
Building owners are also searching for more advanced metering
solutions, which enable them to charge tenants more accurately
for their energy consumption, rather than relying heavily on m2
or occupancy counts.
